As a Smartwatcher customer, we offer you an uncomplicated and discounted switch to JAMES. With a significant discount on the purchase of the JAMES emergency call watch and a favourable monthly or annual subscription, we want to make the switch as attractive as possible for you.

This includes the Family & Friends BASIC tariff as well as the Family & Friends tariff. Any number of helpers can be entered in the alarm chain, who will be called in turn. If you do not wish to receive a call, you will at least be informed by SMS and/or email.
The James watches can be called by any helper at any time - even outside of an alarm.
The first 30 days are free, the basic tariff is only due after this period has expired.
This additional tariff corresponds to the Smartwatcher Family & Friends PRO and Professional tariffs. With James, you can decide for yourself how many private helpers should be called before the 24/7 call centre. It is also possible to forward the alarm directly to the call centre.
Basic rate + emergency call centre costs in total: CHF 30 per month or CHF 300 per year.
Note: The James tariff always includes a permanently installed EU roaming SIM card - either Swisscom for Samsung or TELE2 (Sweden) for the other models. The group call for alarm is expected to be available from 2025.

The technical continuation of the Smartwatcher system is not possible, so you can accept our offer to switch to a JAMES watch. JAMES offers three models and we are sure that you will find the right model for you.
JAMES offers two subscription models that cover a combination of the four Smartwatcher models. The model "Family & friends BASIC"Unfortunately, we do not offer the JAMES basic tariff, but it does include extended functionality. With JAMES, you can enter as many helpers as you like, who are called one after the other. Optionally, you can also activate a call centre if you select this tariff.
Your watch will usually be dispatched no later than 4 weeks after you have accepted the offer. In rare cases or if demand is very high, it may take longer. You will receive an e-mail with the tracking number as soon as the watch has been dispatched to you.
JAMES uses its own renowned call centre for each country. These are:
Our B8 and R8 models use TELE2 SIM cards from Sweden with the prefix +46, while the Galaxy G6 (Samsung) model uses a Swisscom SIM card with the prefix +41. Both SIM cards work in all European countries and support most European networks.
Your WiFi / WLAN can be used to improve indoor localisation (localisation in the house), but not as a replacement for telephony.
There is usually no GPS in a house / flat. This means that the position may be inaccurate. If you have WiFi / WLAN, you can add your WiFi / WLAN in the "Indoor localisation" section of the care recipient's data for more precise localisation.
Telephone calls and data usage are included in the JAMES tariff in the event of an alarm. Helpers can also call the watch at any time. In this case, additional costs may be incurred depending on the mobile phone tariff.

No, you will receive the watch already activated and connected to your main assistant. If you want to add more helpers or change watch configurations, you can use our web portal: portal.james.care or our "James App" for iOS and Android.
